Today we're going to talk about Denmark.

This rather small Scandinavian country boasts a film and television industry that is truly exceptional. The Danes are world leaders, particularly in children's programming. The same is true for television series production – think of The Bridge or the depiction of Danish government work in Borgen .

We speak with Gwyn Nissen, editor-in-chief of the German online newspaper Der Nordschleswiger . He gives us an insight into the funding structures, the financing, and the Danes' self-image regarding their media.
